1.introduction
Bangkok is known as a city that offers a multitude of delicious cuisines. Among these is the recently renovated Amarin Plaza. “The Cook”, a food court located on the fourth floor of the plaza, is one of the food courts I recommend. It is loved by locals and tourists alike, and is a collection of high quality restaurants. It is also spacious and liberating, offering good food and a pleasant atmosphere. In this issue, we introduce some of the most popular restaurants.
2.Popular shops in “The Cook”
2-1.Gapao rice that is too good to be true! Yok Yor Order Cooking
If you are visiting Bangkok, you may wish to enjoy authentic Thai food. This wish will be fulfilled at “Yok Yor Order Cooking”, located at the back right hand side of the restaurant. Here, you can enjoy authentic and exquisite gapao. As well as minced pork gapao, there are chicken and seafood gapao, khao pat and tom yam. When ordering, please note that the level of spiciness is quite high unless you tell them “pet noi” (less spicy)! And many restaurants are closed on Saturdays and Sundays, so it is recommended to go on a weekday.
2-2.BOONLERT Egg Noodles and Grill Pork, a Michelin-starred restaurant serving wontons
“BOONLERT”, a Bib Gourmand ba-mi shop with wontons and roast pork, is also on the menu. The bammy noodles are thin but firm, a high point. You can choose between souped and unsouped. The wontons are filled with sweet minced pork and are very satisfying, and even without soup, the soup is served separately.
2-3.”Lungpratunam” Boat Noodles, with its rich broth and addictive rice noodles
A personal recommendation is” Lungpratunam Boat Noodles”. The combination of thick beef broth and rice noodles is excellent. The beef broth is extremely rich and concentrated with umami. There are plenty of beef fillets in it, and the texture is not bad either. Don’t say anything, just try one anyway. It is a great bowl of noodles, full of texture and umami.
3.Bangkok’s attractive food scene
Bangkok is known as a gourmet’s paradise, where international cuisines converge. Its diverse food scene boasts endless attractions for locals and tourists alike. In particular, the food court “The Cook”attracts a large number of visitors, as they can enjoy authentic Thai cuisine at their fingertips. Here, travellers in search of culinary delights will find new discoveries and excitement.
4.Atmosphere at “The Cook” food court
The renovation of “The Cook “has increased both the number of seats and the number of shops, making it even more user-friendly. Many of the shops open include popular and well-established shops in Chinatown and the Old Town, making it worth worrying about where to buy what you want. The space here is bright and spacious, with a lively atmosphere. The casual atmosphere attracts locals and tourists alike, who come here to enjoy a variety of international cuisines. A great place to chat and enjoy a good meal, this is one of the most popular places in Bangkok’s food scene.
5.Access and opening hours
“The Cook” is located on the fourth floor of Amarin Plaza in Bangkok. Amarin Plaza is a few minutes’ walk from Chit Lom Station on the BTS Sukhumvit Line and is very conveniently accessible as it is directly connected to the 2nd floor of Amarin Plaza from the second-floor walkway through the ticket gates.
Take the escalator up to the fourth floor and follow the signs to the left to the “Tha Cook “food court.
PGVR+HG9, Lumphini, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330, Thailand
Opening hours are from 10am to 6pm, with some shops closed on weekends and public holidays. Tourists are advised to visit on weekdays. It is a great place for an early lunch or a light after-dinner meal, so stop by if you are visiting Bangkok.
